Coach Pinedo sees college basketball as a special place where student-athletes are allowed to learn about life in the safety net of a team. Everything he emphasizes in basketball can be applied to life, and Coach Pinedo ensure that he is the example in what he teaches.

Coach Pinedo value’s the student-athlete’s natural growth in life. The average human brain doesn’t fully develop until ages 25-26. Thus, Coach Pinedo emphasizes tools that will help student-athletes learn about themselves and the world. He has been building teams of 17-25 year-olds for the past 12 years, and he understands the growing pains they encounter and the desire to become their own man.

In addition, Coach Pinedo’s formal education and experience in the military, business, and DI/DIII college basketball levels allows Coach to give a larger picture, especially when family life is included. He enjoys helping his players discover possible career paths and helps them ask questions they have not considered before.

The truth of the matter is, being in college is an exciting time in life! Most kids don’t know what they don’t know, and thus, they don’t know the right questions to ask. Coaches are in a special position to help kids in their life’s inflection point, the time where their life will radically change. Coach Pinedo takes this responsibility extremely seriously and enjoys helping his players discover themselves through challenges and triumphs.
